Our off roaders were back on the national series circuit with a podium for Julia Hamlyn and Jamie Witcher was also on the podium at Brighton Omnium with lots of other roadies racing in Moreton, Dunsfold and Birmingham this week.

Road

Its been a busy week for our roadies with the first of the Bournemouth Cycleworks race series at Moreton. Bob Ford, Richard Lang, Andy Whiteford, Greg Meade, Zak Snell, Luke Monahan, Jamie Witcher, Christian Knapton, Roland Tilley, Jon Clemas and Carol Tilley were all out in their new kit. Bob and his fellow green group riders had a brave attempt at holding off the scratch group but they were caught and it was 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th for Zak, Jamie, Luke and Christian respectively.

Bob Ford was also racing at the weekend in Dunsfold at the LVRC series and was joined by Carol and Roland Tilley. Hard fast racing was the order of the day with a 4th for Bob, 9th for Carol and bunch finish for Roland in his category.

Jamie Witcher was also out for the second time in a week, heading further afield for the Brighton omnium and finishing a brilliant 2nd with a strong performance on the front for much of the race.

Finally on the road, Stephen Corbyn completed the Velo Birmingham in 4.50.

Off Road

Back on the national series circuit, this time in Cannock Chase, were Julia Hamlyn, Sam and Dani Humphrey, Stephen Corbyn and Tony Revell. It was a technical hilly course which tested our riders but it was another brilliant 2nd place for the ever consistent Julia, 4th for Dani, Stephen and Sam (despite a back injury) in their categories and Tony broke the top 20  elite field with a 19th. Great riding from these guys who are making great progress in the national series rankings.
